The short version
PDF for Free’s image and PDF tools process the files you select inside your browser. The application has no upload endpoint for user files, no user account system and no database containing your documents. Output is made available through a temporary local Blob URL. Closing or reloading the page releases that working data from the application.
This notice covers the PDF for Free website. Your browser, device, network provider, hosting provider and configured third-party services may process technical data under their own terms.
What stays in the browser
- The source file, decoded pixels, extracted text and generated output.
- Passwords entered for local PDF protection or known-password unlocking.
- Drawn signatures, form values, redaction regions and processing settings.
These values are held only as needed for the current workflow. PDF for Free does not intentionally put filenames, file bytes, extracted text, passwords or output Blob URLs into cookies, analytics, localStorage or Cache Storage.
Essential device storage
If you use the launcher, the site can store lists of favourited and recently visited tool paths. Those lists contain route names only, never filenames or file contents. The progressive web app may place public HTML, CSS, JavaScript, icons, worker code, language data, models and WASM engines in browser Cache Storage so previously used tools can work offline. All of this can be removed through your browser’s site-data controls.
Advertising
Advertising remains disabled until the operator has completed the production configuration and AdSense has approved the site. When enabled, Google AdSense may receive an IP address and use cookies, web beacons or other identifiers to deliver, limit and measure advertising. PDF for Free does not send Google a selected filename, file content, extracted text or generated result.
Google explains how it uses information from partner sites in its partner-sites notice. Visitors in regions covered by Google’s EEA, UK and Switzerland requirements are served consent controls through Google’s certified consent management platform.
Performance analytics
If a public site token is configured, PDF for Free may load Cloudflare Web Analytics. Cloudflare documents that its browser beacon measures page and performance information without using cookies or localStorage and without fingerprinting visitors. It can receive normal request information such as an IP address at the network edge, which Cloudflare says it discards rather than storing in its analytics logs.
Hosting, security and retention
A hosting and content-delivery provider necessarily receives ordinary HTTP request data, which can include the requested path, time, browser headers and source IP address. Security and operational logs may be retained by that provider under its service settings. PDF for Free does not add user-file data to URLs or intentionally transmit it in those requests.
Your choices and requests
Use Google’s certified consent controls where they are shown to allow, deny or later withdraw advertising consent. You can also use Google’s advertising controls and clear PDF for Free site data through your browser.
For access, deletion, objection or other privacy questions, use the method on the contact page. Because PDF for Free has no accounts and does not receive user files, it may have no application record that can be linked to an individual visitor.
Children and changes
PDF for Free is a general-purpose document utility and is not designed as a service directed to children. A child should use it only with the involvement of a parent or guardian where required. This notice may change as providers, features or legal duties change; the date and material wording will be updated.
