Choose the source and placement deliberately

Place a demonstration mark on page two

Use the five-page device-document-lab.pdf and example-signature.png, a synthetic EXAMPLE mark. These samples let you check placement without using a real person's signature.

1. Choose device-document-lab.pdf and select Load PDF pages. Choose example-signature.png as the signature image.
2. Set Page to 2, From left to 20 mm, From top to 220 mm, Width to 60 mm and Height to 20 mm.
3. Confirm that you are authorized to place this demonstration mark, then select Add visual signature.
4. Download and open the PDF. Check page two for the mark and inspect the other pages to confirm you are reviewing the correct document.

Expected result. The PDF retains five pages with the demonstration image added to page two, beginning 20 mm from the visible left edge and 220 mm from the top. The width and height define the placed image rectangle; no identity verification or certificate signature is created.

Check the downloaded result

• Confirm the destination page by its content, not only a printed page label. The Page field uses the page's physical position in the PDF, starting at one.
• Check the mark's shape and surrounding wording. Width and height are independent, so the placed image can be stretched if their ratio differs from the source.
• Inspect the download at a readable zoom. Page thumbnails help identify the page but do not establish the exact final placement or whether an opaque background covers text.
• Keep the unsigned source separately. If the file already had a digital signature, check the consequences of editing it before relying on the modified copy.

Troubleshooting

The mark is missing or extends outside the page

The requested page or placement may be wrong, or the image rectangle may cross a visible page boundary.

Try this: Recheck the page number, left/top offsets and dimensions. On an A4 portrait page, for example, the rectangle must fit within its visible width and height; start from the original PDF when correcting it.

An old uploaded mark appears instead of the drawing

An uploaded signature image overrides anything in the drawing area until that image is removed.

Try this: Select Remove beside the uploaded filename, draw the intended mark, confirm authorization again and generate a fresh result.

The signature looks stretched or covers a line

The tool places the whole source into the specified rectangle. It does not preserve the aspect ratio automatically or remove an image's opaque background.

Try this: Use matching width-to-height proportions and a correctly prepared transparent PNG when needed. Reposition the mark so it does not cover required wording.

A protected PDF or signature image cannot be processed

The PDF must be unencrypted for this operation. Signature images must be PNG or JPG and remain within the current file and decoded-pixel limits.

Try this: Unlock an authorized PDF with its known password first. Export a smaller supported signature image if needed, and use a browser that supports the required image-processing features.

Limits and compatibility

One placement per run

Each operation places one image on one page. Adding another mark requires a separate pass over the reviewed result. The tool does not provide signing invitations or multiple-party tracking.

Local handling

The mark is normalized to image pixels locally before placement. The source PDF is not overwritten; downloaded signed copies remain wherever you save them.

Common questions

Can I click the preview to drag the mark into place?

Placement is entered through the page and millimetre fields. Inspect the exported PDF to verify the final position rather than assuming the preview is a drag-and-drop signing canvas.

Can a reader extract or copy the visible signature image?

A visible mark is page content, not a protected identity credential. Do not treat it as tamper-proof or assume that it prevents copying or reuse.
